Tom Hanks is considered by many to be one of the most wholesome actors in the business. Interestingly, he is also among the most versatile. He has the ability to portray many different characters. Just take a look at his performances in the films Forrest Gump, The Da Vinci Code, Larry Crowne, The Post, A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, and Bridge of Spies. While he may have slowed down in recent years and is focusing more on his family, he still remains one of the biggest names in the industry.

This is why many would assume that he also has luxurious hobbies. Contrary to that, however, what the actor enjoys the most is collecting vintage typewriters! He got his first model when he was only 19 years old, and to date, he has over 250+ in his collection. Hanks plans on eventually giving them away and leaving only one for himself.
