Diggy Simmons | Son of Joseph “Rev. Run” Simmons

Daniel Dwayne Simmons III, or better known as Diggy Simmons, was born on March 21, 1995, in Queens, New York. This young rapper and singer-songwriter attained significant recognition when he starred in the reality show on MTV, Run’s House. He was also once the youngest member of the rap collective All City Chess Club.

In 2009, Diggy released his mixtape The First Flight on his blog, and it gained 100,000 downloads. After that, he received numerous offers from record labels, and he picked Atlantic Records. The next year, Kanye West praised him after the video of Diggy freestyling with Nas went viral. He released his debut album Unexpected Arrival in 2012, but he already put out two singles Do It Like You and Copy, Paste. Aside from performing on stage, he also has acting credit by playing the role Doug in the sitcom Grown-ish, alongside Chloe Bailey’s character, Jazlyn, which started airing in 2018 and just had its last episode last March 18, 2021.
