Gabrielle Union & Dwyane Wade

Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union are the epitome of relationship aspirations, but they’ve also worked hard to keep their romance alive. Despite breakups and even fertility concerns, the pair remained together for years.

Union and the former Miami Heat player met in 2007 while co-hosting a Super Bowl party for a sponsor. During that time, both were seeking help from their lawyers for their respective relationships. Union and Wade started seeing each other in 2009 and ultimately made their romance public in February 2012. Although things seemed to be heating up between the two, they called it quits in early 2013. After some time apart, the couple reconnected and got engaged in December 2013. Union and Wade married at a splendid ceremony in Miami in August 2014. They’ve found their happiness, and as she writes in her children’s book, Welcome to the Party, not every family has to look alike. That is what distinguishes them.
