Ellen DeGeneres and her longtime wife and business partner Portia de Rossi are some of the most well-respected Hollywood couples in the industry. Not only have they conquered the stigma against same-sex couples, but they’ve also beaten the Hollywood marriage curse, having been married for 13 years now.

The pair met in 2000 but did not start a romantic relationship until four years later. According to de Rossi, she spent so many years hiding her true identity that being with DeGeneres was like a breath of fresh air. Likewise, DeGeneres has also expressed her gratitude towards her partner, saying that no one understands her entirely as de Rossi does. The couple has yet to have children, but they have built quite an impressive investment portfolio over the years.
