When it comes to marriage, Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves struck gold when they found each other.

The American actor and the Brazilian model began dating in 2006 after meeting at a Los Angeles club. Both of them recall their first meeting differently, but as per McConaughey’s statement, it was love at first sight. Although love came a bit later for Alves, it didn’t take long for the pair to start their family. In 2008, after only two years of dating, McConaughey and Alves welcomed their first child, Levi. Two years later, their daughter, Vida, followed. To ensure the comfort of their growing family, the actor decided to build a property investment in Malibu in 2011. However, the couple moved their family to Texas in March of 2012, just three months before tying the knot. McConaughey stays active in Hollywood, but he prefers his quiet life in the south whenever he’s not performing in front of the camera.
