Meghan Markle and Prince Harry first became each other’s acquaintances in early July 2016 when a common friend introduced them. Despite Prince Harry’s international fame, the Suits actress admitted that she didn’t know much about him. The two immediately hit it off and went on a second date. The Duke of Sussex then invited her to accompany him to Africa, and things moved quickly from there.

When Prince Harry was asked when exactly he knew the actress was finally “the one,” he quickly responded, “the first time we met.” Soon after, the power couple got engaged in November 2017 and marked the news with a formal interview and a celebratory photo shoot. They married in May 2018 and have since welcomed two kids together: Archie Harrison and Lilibet Diana. Despite having all eyes on them, the couple has maintained a degree of strength and resilience in their relationship.
